Updates from the State and County
The New “Normal”
Regardless of when Highland Park Pool opens, we wanted to communicate to you several recent decisions that will likely impact your pool experience.
● The Hurricane Hut. For the safety of all our guests and staff, the Hurricane Hut will remain closed for the 2020 season. We know many members were looking forward to summer employment, as well as the convenience of food service, but we decided not to burden our traditionally young teen-aged staff with the enhanced levels of food safety.
● No Guest Policy. We anticipate operating the pool this summer with a reduced bather load capacity. Accordingly, no daily guests will be permitted at the pool this summer. We look forward to welcoming back guests of our members in future seasons.
● NVSL Swim/Dive Canceled. With much disappointment, the Northern Virginia Swim League canceled the summer swim and dive season.
